Medical Education and Technology:

Creating, evaluating and disseminating skill and competencies based virtual medical curricula is an important research focus for Dr. Periyakoil. Her current projects and products include:

  1. Stanford Cancer Palliation Education Network Curriculum: Funded by NCI ( PI: Periyakoil) and available at http://ecampus.stanford.edu.
  2. Stanford Palliative Care Curriculum: Funded by NCI (PI: Periyakoil) and available at http://endoflife.stanford.edu.
  3. Comprehensive Geriatrics Education Project: Funded by HRSA (PI: Periyakoil) and will be available soon.
  4. PalliAction Project: A competency based project funded by a VA grant (PI: Periyakoil) and will be available in 2010.
  5. Rural and Homeless Health Project: Funded by a VA grant (PI: Periyakoil) and will be available in 2010.
